A2UI and A2A support reaches GA in Gemini Enterprise
Google Cloud's 22 August 2026 release notes state that registering and managing agents using A2A and A2UI is generally available in Gemini Enterprise.
Organizations can register hosted agents, manage them from the Agents page and expose interactive experiences to users.
What do A2A and A2UI do?
A2A covers standardized communication and task delegation between agents. A2UI turns structured agent output into interactive user-interface components.
A2A = Agent ↔ Agent; A2UI = Agent ↔ User Interface. They are complementary.
A2UI v0.9 support
Google's registration documentation lists support for A2UI v0.9 and v0.8 and standard components rendered with host styling.
This controlled catalog is safer than unrestricted HTML, while every action still needs permission and validation.
Enterprise requirements for using A2UI and A2A
The release signals a move beyond text chat toward standardized agent interfaces and collaboration.
Production use still needs clear agent ownership, endpoint security, action permissions and audit.
